is the goal of the J. Willard Marriiot Library to provide a safe environment
for our employees and visitors and to preserve and protect our collections
and the collections of others in our care. With this in mind, we have established
an Office of Protection Services and charged them with the ongoing responsibility
for security, fire prevention and protection, and safety within our building
and on our grounds.
It is the primary
mission of Library Safety and Security to continually work toward
the goals of:
- Preventing deaths
and bodily injuries to our employees and visitors.
- Reducing Accidents.
- Reducing adverse
incidents of all types involving people and property.
