MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Fine Arts Department is to support the educational objectives of the Marriott Library and the University of Utah in meeting the diverse informational needs of students, faculty, staff, and the general community. In an environment of free and open inquiry, combined with a commitment to excellence and service, the Fine Arts Department provides specialized reference in the areas of the visual arts, art history, architecture, music, ballet and modern dance. Patrons are taught to use resources--both electronic and traditional--that will enable them to reach their academic and research goals by bridging the Fine Arts Department's resources to user needs.
  • The Fine Arts Library is under construction. Our Reference Desk is still on the 2nd floor of the Marriott Library, shared with the General Reference Desk.
  • CHECK-OUT POLICIES
Slides, picture files, and some Locked Case/ARC materials can be checked out for seven days. Reference materials, composers' collected works, sheet music, and some Locked Case/ARC items may only be used within the library.
