The
Mission of the Curriculum Library
The Curriculum Library
of the University of Utah supports education students, University staff
and faculty as well as the Utah community at large. It is a teaching resource
for faculty and students from such diverse areas as Foreign Language and
Special Education.
The Curriculum Library
houses a variety of educational collections including text books and teachers
guides, testing materials and a wide range of audio visual items and computer
workstations.
It is in close proximity
to the Marriott Librarys ERIC microfiche and Juvenile Literature
collections. As technology has advanced, teachers are finding more and
more that computers and multimedia devices, such as CD-Roms, laser disks,
Web based resources and databases, and other interactive teaching software
is necessary to supplement traditional curriculum materials.

of these technological sources and learning aids. To further such use
and understanding, they strive to assist users in content based instruction
and how to implement online search strategies in a variety of Library
databases for individuals, faculty and class size settings.
The Marriott Librarys
Curriculum Library endeavors to combine such high public services ideals with
access to a multitude of curriculum sources to meet the varied needs of its
users.
