Brief Summary: Responsible for coordination and oversight of Marriott
Library collections, developing and implementing policies, allocating and managing
collections budgets, conducting short- and long-range planning, and coordinating
collections with campus, state, and regional libraries.
Coordinator of Library Selectors: Barbara
Cox
Brief Summary: Responsible for recruiting, training, and evaluation
of Marriott Library's Subject Selectors and for planning and organizing a user-centered
selector network to ensure that established priorities and plans are implemented
and that Selectors participate in extensive user interactions.
Collection Manager: Maria
Hunt
Brief Summary: Coordinates and organizes those collection development
activities related to the allocationand monitoring of the acquisitions budget.
Responsible for acquisition and licensing of databases, for overseeing the print
journal collections and standing orders, and for profiling approval programs.
Balances resources between traditional and electronic information sources, emphasizing
and anticipating user needs, and coordinating collections with campus, state,
and regional libraries.
Electronic Formats Coordinator:
Mary Ann James
Brief Summary: Responsible for matters relating to ordering, processing,
receipt, payment, installation and implementation of electronic format items,
including web-based databases, indexes, reference and other library material.
Electronic Resources Access Librarian: Ann Marie Breznay
Brief Summary: Responsible for the technical aspects of access to Marriott, campus, and UALC databases and electronic journals. Serves as technical contact for Marriott and UALC to vendors of online resources. Aggregates and reports usage statistics for UALC.
