Even if we would no longer have a separate subscription to the journal, the articles are available through indexes like Academic Search Premier. Such access is linked in our catalog. Continued coverage by the indexer is not absolutely guaranteed, but we feel it makes more sense to cancel titles where we would likely maintain some access rather than to cut other titles whose content would be lost entirely. Magazines in such databases whose paper issues are browsed steadily are not listed as they will be renewed.

articles online after delay
The publisher does not allow the most recent issues to be in databases like JSTOR. If there is not evidence that recent issues are browsed, using the database for older issues and Interlibrary Loan for the occasional newer articles needed seems a fiscally prudent alternative.

monograph, buy titles needed
These are series of books on a single topic or theme. We can buy specific volumes of interest, but overall use of the series does not seem to justify automatically receiving each piece.

buy at longer intervals
These are generally annual directories whose content changes only slightly from year to year. Rather than receiving every volume automatically, we propose to buy them at longer intervals.
