Over 500 fully processed primary archival collections preserving the institutional history of the
University of Utah available for institutional and public patron use,
supplemented by hard-copy and online finding aids. Items include
- Historical Records of Administrative and Academic Units
- Presidential Papers
- Minutes of the Board of Trustees and Academic Senate
Records Management
Over 22,000 cubic feet of active and semi-active records and 14,000 campus architectural drawings
Responsibilities
- Assists in managing records essential to ensuring that internal needs and
legal requirements of the University of Utah are fulfilled
- Assists departments to adhere to established record keeping practices, including
Utah State General Retention Schedule
American Medical Association
American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers
and other Federal agencies retention guidelines
- Advises on such topics as records reformatting, destruction, and storage
