Education Abstracts Full-Text. Covers monographs, periodicals and yearbooks. It also has a specific subject access available for citations to tests, motion pictures reviews and videotapes. However, some of the articles are full-text. ERIC (1966-Present) This is a nationwide information which consists of sixteen clearinghouses located at universities or within professional societies across the United States. It encompasses the body of education including conference reports, dissertations and journal articles. Some of the articles are full-text. ERIC materials are on microfiche located in the Government Documents area on the first floor of the Marriott Library. Exceptional Child Education Resources. (1969-2000). This is a selective index abstracting materials related to education of the handicapped. It include more than two hundred journals that are scanned regularly, and abstracts of books, dissertations, conference papers, government documents, and other items are included. Some of the entries are available through the ERIC System. PsycINFO (1887-Present) This database is produced by the American Psychological Association and covers psychological aspects of related disciplines including business, economic and law. It also includes book chapters, citations and summaries of journal articles and citation to dissertations.

ENCYCLOPEDIAS Fletcher-Janzen, Elaine and Reynolds, Cecil R. Encyclopedia of Special Education. Editors, New York: John Wiley & Sons, 2000. Level 3, LC 4007 E53 2000. This Second Edition of the Encyclopedia of Education is an update to the first edition. The Second Edition has changed, obviously, to reflect the times and preparation for the next century, It contains over two hundred new entries and approximately five percent of the first edition entries were deleted because they were obsolete. Nearly 700 entries were updated or rewritten by consulting editors and their teams. LC 3965 H263 1995, General Reference, Level 3. In 1987, a four-volume handbook of Special Education: Research and Practice was published. A Fifth volume summarized the Handbook's four volumes was published in 1990. "The Handbook achieved the foremost position as a professional statement in the field of Education. However, the Second Editions entitled Handbook of Special and Remedial Education: Research and Practice. There has been an increase I the number of special categorical program, which has become problematic, by causing an extreme disjointedness in, favor a broad and systematic approach to education for all students. Thus, the change in the title to Handbook of Special and Remedial Education is intended to reflect this kind of melding of programs. This index is privately published and it has been sponsored by the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) since 1982. It covers over 1020 major educational and education-related journals. "It is part to the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) Family published in the United States Department of Education." EBSCOHost EBSCOHost is an interdisciplinary database which include over twenty journals of interest to scholars in Special Education and many of the articles are full text. Education Index. January 1920 to Present. New York: H.W. Wilson Company. Curriculum Library, Level 3. LA 11Z E48. It is a Cumulative Index to educational publication in the English Language. Its index consists subject and author entries are arranged in one alphabet. Subject access is available for computer programs reviews, motion pictures reviews and videotapes. It also has a separate listing of citations for book reviews following the main body. Resources in Education (RIE). Washington, D.C. Educational Resources Information Center. This is a monthly abstracting journal which announces recent reported literature related to the field of education permitting the early identification and acquisition of reports of interested to he educational community.
